animated gif program

i search after a good free animated gif program, but they are all trial or demo.

There are several aviable under LINUX .

I believe the one I recommended the other day (irfanview) has this ability too.

Since I have 24/7 connection, I use the online GIF tool @ www.gifworks.com
Easy for fast GIF edits. It does animated too.

BTW I see you need it for an avatar since you have >50 posts
If you're not that creative. Go ahead to the minister of avatars thread in the community forum, they will help you out for sure:

the first one is good but a bit too slow, gimp should be good im gonna download it
