Logo needed - Paying

I need a logo for a group. We already know what we want it it to look like pretty much.

It should be a yellow bridge like in Pittsburgh, with perhaps a skyline over it, and the words "Steel City LUG" sitting on the bridge.

A subtext should say Pittsburgh Area's Adult LEGO User Group

We want to be able to use it for business cards, a banner, and perhaps on the website too.

I'm think $50-100. Thoughts?

funny, the reply notification email just has "?" so I didn't know you submitted anything, I just thought you were being weird.

One of the members reminded me that LEGO is super strict about how their name appears, as in their font, color, etc with the copyright symbol.

I'm not a fan of the mix drawing and reality skyline. Is the skyline something you can "cartoonify"?

So here's two more options. One is textured and the other uses primary LEGO colors.

Some info for the fun of it:

the yellow on the textured bridge is steeler's yellow.

The Bridge is modeled off one of the railway bridges in Pittsburgh.

The skyline is the actual Pittsburgh skyline.

Good question! One could make the argument that it is fair use since it's not being repurposed for a commercial activity or in defense of another brand.

As the artist, I don't care because I get paid either way.

alright, I'm going to make you earn your money with some feedback

1. checked with other LUG logos (https://www.google.com/search?q=LEGo...JKyx0QHXuYDgBQ) and they don't use the actual LEGO logo, just CAPS "LEGO" in their font...so, let's still with what everyone else does and plead ignorance if called out.
2. The colors on the 2nd one are too "primary", but we like the more solid coloring. How about the same color as the textured bridge, just no texture? We like the grey STEEL CITY LUG, but There appears to be a shadow on the text that makes it harder to read (beyond just the PROOF text) and maybe making the buildings less prominent, like just straight black or just the outline...not sure on that one.

OK!

Changed out the LEGO logo for text.

Background is now either flat black or outlined.

LUG changed to gray, drop shadow added to help it stand out from the bridge, sized it large on the "outline.jpg" to see if that helps as well.

2 text color options on the sig line, as well as 1 line versus 2 line.

solid skyline one it is! The only request was to close the ends of the bridge.
