| What is the best photo editing software
I use Corel 9 but am still learning so i dont have alot invested.
Whats the best product for the price and can it do what corel does?

Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7.x is the best bang for the buck. but i prefer PS 5.5. i suppose cuz thats what i learned on.

I like Photoshop... If you can find a lite edition you can upgrade it as you can afford it. |

I use Photoshop 6 and LOVE it! There are so many options and little tweaks here and there that they sell a 3-inch thick book on how to use it. It is quite expensive though...

Another vote for Photoshop. I've only owned it for about 7 months (I wish I could work with it more and I would probably be better with it) and I think it's the greatest. |

Another vote for Photoshop. I've been using it since version 3.0 and would find it hard to live without.
It's currently on version 7.0 and it's is pricey...but you can find older versions or even used versions for sale at resonable prices. Any version later than 5.0 is just as capable as the current version (give or take some minor details). |

Still on 5.5 but it does what I need it to do...someday, I'll toss $150 and get 7.........someday. |
