Tutorial Authoring

I would like to create a tutorial... Is there a multimedia authoring tool that would record my actual desktop, while I'm working away?

What tools are out ther to create an automated (movie: recording desktop) tutorial of some type?

Can someone make a recommendation to an application they've used?

I always thought I would user PowerPoint for that but, I have never tried to.

I would also be very interested in a good method to do this.

You May want to PM NDC. I remember downloading a few movies that he made showing how to do some stuff in photoshop.

I know Macromedia makes a tool to basically do what you are looking for, I can't remeber for the life of me what it is called, but I will post back when I can find it.

Ya I'm familiar with MM Multimedia authoring, I guess my question would be more related to capturing the screen while you work on it.
