| Any recommendations on pic software?
First some background....
I'm very new to web developing. My brother used to do it all.
He was a teckie geek through and through! Some how through osmosis I began to enjoy it as well.
My family is scattered all over the world. So in order to stay in touch my brother built a website and also established family email. The email part I can handle very well. The website is kicking my butt. The website is compromised of family pictures taken over the past couple of years. The software that is used is absolute image(xigla.com).
Now the dilema. Two months ago my brother tragicaly passed on and one of the legacys I would like to carry on is this basic website. There are pictures of his two dughters Logan and Bailey.
(2 years and one respectively) as well as other family gatherings.
My brother was in the process of tweaking this software but never finished. The technical support stinks. I have all administrator privelages and have used the software in the past but since the tweaking is not finished I cannot upload or change.
Can someone please help me find friendly software for a webpage that can hold pages of pictures? any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
Sorry for the length.
Josh

Do you mean he was changing the program itself or the site w/ the pictures. |

That's just a "Demo" isn't it? Not really your site.
Do you have a link to your actual site? |

Correct, just a demo.
I do but there are personal pictures on it, that I am afraid to
share. I will tell you it looks similar.

What would be the biggest difference between the two? |

That's a good question.
I just don't like using FrontPage.
I'm relatively new to web design, so I'll let somebody explain the differences, I can just tell you what I like. |

free: www.gimp.org
buy: www.macromedia.com <- the studio MX pack is very good to start building site (flash mx, dreamwaver, freehand, etc. very good software!) (it's expensive i know but awsome good!), well perhaps it's not good to start but you can download trial version at their page too!
BTW front page has got some features that just ie can read and netscape and opera dont have! (in one word crappy j/k )
