I would like a nice wallpaper created for www.usalug.org

While I have made some feeble attempts, http://www.usalug.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=248 we would like a better wallpaper for people to download from our site. This wallpaper will be featured on the main page of the site (for awhile anyway) and you will be given credit with a link to your website and your name if you so desire.

What I'm offering is a sincere "thank you" and a $30 prize for the best wallpaper, it isn't much, I know, but it comes out of my own pocket and from the heart, and it's to promote Linux

.... The entries will be voted on by the USALUG members. (about as fair a contest as I could think of).

Size:
1024 x 768 (other sizes will be posted if you win, and you provide them to me for posting.)

What we are after:
A unique tux image that can be found no where else, on a wallpaper that tastefully has www.usalug.org or a lug logo located on it. (you can make a new usalug logo / you don't have to use ours)

I will post them all in a VOTING THREAD and let everyone vote for one week..... then the winning wallpaper will be selected. The creator contacted, and paid

If you want your image VOTED on you MUST email it to WALLPAPERCONTEST (AT) USALUG.ORG

Contest entries must be made by OCT 25th.... and voting will begin......and voting will be thru November 1st.

No contest for me. I just don't have the time or patience at this time...

Of course, one copy of this with XPC on it will go to Xtreme PC Central...

IMHO (but remember I only get ONE vote myself

) it needs to be LIGHTER ...... but I'm on an older crappy monitor at work right now

So, I'm sure I'm not viewing it at the right settings.

Take a look at THIS TechIMO post. Within the post are a couple of good examples of what Dave is looking for in the wallpaper (a Tux that is unique). He doesn't want a copy of otheos's wifes Tux but something new. You know, something that has not been used over and over again like the current Penguin you see plastered all over the internet.
