If that's your price range then it will probably work, but with your system I would have invisioned a Geforce3 (probably a ti200). Granted its more expensive but from what I've seen its worth it.

On the other hand that card comes with quite a bit of stuff for only $79.

hmmm, personally I wouldn't get an MX card if I could help it.

Especially if I ran across this deal: GF2 Ti 64MB DDR AGP $88.00

Unless I'm mistaken, this Ti is a heck of a lot faster than that MX card.

Ya, go for a Ti rather than an MX. Don't bother getting a GF3 though, you can get the same performance out of a GF2 according to a lot of places. Unless you plan on a GF3 Ti500, which are still insanely expensive. :P

Do NOT go with the mx. It will make you cry for your mamma, and finnally trade your PC in for an X-Box or PS2 depending on your religious preferences.

The worst you could do is buy a RadeonLE for $60 or so, and thats not bad at all! But like they say get the TI

Yeah its there. When you get to the video card screen where it lists all the name brands for video cards, pull down the list at the top and select the Nvidia GeForce2 Ti. Hit submit and that should give you a list of all the Ti's that they have.

I tend to agree with the others. Although Asus does make nice stuff, that price seems high for any brand of a plain ol' GF2 MX400 card. If you want to stick with that, I'd go with a different brand and save a few bucks. Or spend a few more and get one of the other cards suggested.

    Best of luck!

Look at the TI450 card HERE. Price is $90. I installed one last week. Very nice card. It is better than my Geforce GTS. No tv out on this card.
It benched out at 5400 on 3dmark 2001 at default settings. My GTS only does 4600.
I also installed a Vision tek Xtasy 5864 64 meg card in another computer last week. It only scored 3800.
