PowerColor Radeon 9600?

Saw this card:http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...uctCode=320858 Is this a good card, will it fit in a standard desktop agp slot? I really need a new card since my cheap Pixelview FX5200 fan died. I tried to put a heatsink and fan on it, but still can't play 3d games with it.

Does your motherboard support AGP 8X?
I do believe it does, which means that card will function properly.
Its a nice card, though I would prefer the Pro version, since its a bit better.
Anyways, if you think its everything you need, and the price is good, go for it.

No only 4x agp. Just noticed the box has a SE on . But they don't label it as a Se in that ad.

Even if your motherboard is designed for AGP 4X, an AGP 8X video card will still work.
The speed will be clocked down though to the speed of an AGP 4X video card.
If this doesn't bother you, then I see no problem in buying an AGP 8X video card.
Don't buy that video card though. Since its a SE version its been clocked down.
If I were you I would go for a Radeon 9600 Pro or a Radeon 9800 Pro as well.

I can't afford a 9600Pro or a 9800. Here is the card I chose to buy http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...102-295&depa=0

It is a 9600 256megs ram for 102.50 with free fedex super saver shipping.

Thanks for your help.

You still picked a nice video card though. Congratulations!
You even chose my favorite brand/distributor for ATI video cards: Sapphire.
I think you will enjoy this video card alot. Glad I could help.

That card's a pretty decent choice. I put that same card in my son's computer - it works pretty well, and best of all............ no fan to burn out
