ive never heard of XFX, but I am looking into getting the Gigabyte 5900XT

would it be as good?

IMO, the best card is the MX440!!! I'm serious... This card can be purchased for only about $50 and plays most of the games out at 800 x 600 (at least). So many people torment this poor card, even though they don't have one... And YES, I have a Radeon 9800 Pro and 5950 Ultra, but these cards get too much credit for being $200+ cards...

I have a Geforce 4MX440, and I can't get UT2004, BF:Nam or Far Cry to play very well on it, even at 800*600. It's slow as a mule and doesn't have any shaders. A better budget card is the 5200, which is at least competent in DirectX 8.
