"Matrox Millenium P750 vs. ASUS a7m266" or "The AGP 3.0 question"

Heya all you techies!
I just stumbled across the Matrox Millenium P 750 which seems to be exactly what I am looking for.

But at one point i am unsure:
Matrox sais the system must support AGP 3.0 .. but i have no idea whether my system DOES. I have an ASUS a7m266 mainboard (with AGP 4x support) and a pretty up-to-date BIOS.

My question:
Will it work or does "AGP 3.0" compability depend on other factors (too)?

The way I read it (call me stupid, I dont pay much attention to Matrox) is that it supports up to AGP3.0 (which is 8x) and is also backwards compatible with 4x.

Should work fine. P750 will do 4x or 8x 1.5volt AGP. It's won't do 3.3volt.
