integrated video problems
i just installed a new mobo (biostar m7ncd...athlon xp 3000+) and got everything hooked up and i start it and there is nothing showing on the monitor just black but the led is flashing green.....everything else is running fans cdrom hard drive etc......i was thinkin i might have shorted out the integrated video because my monitor works on a different computer but im not sure....any help would be great thanks

Have you checked for bent or broken pins?

Have you plugged in the video cable properly into the monitor and vice versa ?

As usual, that'll hardly be a display problem. The system isn't firing up at all, as far as actual computing is concerned. There being power to the fans and drives tells you nothing. Check board mounting, RAM, CPU, CPU cooling, power supply strength, the usual suspects.

ok i checked the ram, cpu etc. im still gettin nothin....i took the mobo off the tray and put it on some cardboard and tried it that way but still the same result so i know its not the board mounting either...no display on the monitor...i do have an adapter for my monitor to change it from 15 pin to 9 pin...maybe the adapter is messed up i dont know...u think it might be anything else?

9-pin? Now what kind of monitor is _that_? Is it even a VGA monitor?

yea 9 pin is what it is for the monitor plug in the back of my computer....the 15 pin is what the monitor is....its a samsung 151v flat panel

Excuse me? You're not trying to run the monitor off a serial port, are you?
Mainboards with onboard VGA have ever been using the standard 15-pin VGA plug. Check your facts, and some reading of the board's manual might be in order too ...
