is it the monitor or vid card?
ok my friend has a dell dimension 8250, its a p4 at 2.4 gig with 512 mb ram, he got it about 2 years ago and he has replaced 2 monitors from dell, hes on his third he has a nvidia geforce 4 mx 420, and the monitors flickers, no matter what hes doing the monitor will flicker for about 2 seconds, he'll be doing something and then the screen goes black and then goes back, but it takes about 2 or more months before they start to do this, and yes he has the latest drivers fro his card, i was just wondering if anyone knew what could be the problem, thanks for any support.

Take the monitor to another computer and see if it does it, if it does its the montior.
If it doesent, take the gfx card to another computer and try it. If it sill doesent, its somehting else!

There is a vintage Diaclone Grimlock in the original box on eBay. Diaclone, as in before Transformers G1. Start is $429.
