Depends on how much you want to spend. If you're willing to pay $400 or over, the Geforce 6800GT is absolutely the best bang for your buck, devastating the x800 pro. If you want to spend anything less than that, my reccomendations are Geforce 6800 (Standard) and Radeon 9800 Pro, in that order.

the best card bar none is the 6800 gt especially with the new detonator drivers. for 399$, they can be overclocked to reach BEYOND ultra speeds in excess of 420mhz (ultra = 400, gt = 350, i think the ultra golden samples are 425mhz).

now, how can you beat that??? 16 pipelines versus the 12 on the x800pro... no way. the gt can even catch up on the xt platinum edition in certain games/benchmarks.

filipino is right, the 6800 series are better than the x800 series as it stands today, 7/16/04.

we will see how the battlefield looks after new driver tweaks from both corners.
