I'd go for the 6800 nu, it is a good bit cheaper. I'd look in to the ASUS geforce 6800 Gamer's Edition, it is a 6800ultra clocked 30mhz and 50mhz lower ram and gpu respectively, it still has DDR3 and if you looked hard you can find it for about $300.

its hard to say which i would choose as the drivers are still kind of coming in for them. I want to see how the x800 will do with the new opengl drivers

As I've posted elsewhere on the forums (just search for my recent posts on 6800). The 6800 seems to have faired pretty well against ATI cards in Half Life 2 beta benchmarks (even beating X800 Pro i think). While thats certainly not going to give you the closest numbers to performance when HL2 is done I'd say it's close enough.

the 9800pro has nothing to do with this poll. This poll is asking whether people would get the 6800 or the X800 Pro, not the 9800pro.

6800. Right now its currently the best bang for the buck.

The new nVidia video card seems promising, but I really don't know.
The x800 hasn't caught my attention that much as the Geforce 6800 has.
This is comming from a current ATI video card owner (Radeon 9800Pro).
Anyways, I would probably buy the Geforce 6800 instead of the x800.

I'd take the newer technology of the 6800.

well, this isn't about rating, this poll is about what U WOULD BUY FOR URSELF, so money here is ONE of the biggest issues, $283 vs $400+
