You can hack the 4 pipelines and open them, but that's an extra for me, if that doesn't work I'll still be very happy with the card (ONLY IF ITS GAINWARD) |

Yea, but the actual difference in preformance isn't that big, and I'm never gonna spend that much on a graphics card! |

Im sure down the road there will be plenty of options to upgrade the 6800 to gt speeds and maybe furthur. I have heard from multiple sources that rivatuner is working on a driver that allows you to get 16 piplines for the 6800.
Becuase the 6800 is the basis for a whole new generation of cards, the room for upgrades and improvments is huge. Not to mention the 6800 is the best bang for the buck card right now. I ordered the evga 6800 for 286.00$, this includes three day shipping. http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merch...&AFFIL=dt&NR=1
Stock these things are getting 8k-10k on 3dmark03. Thats amazing. |

As far as I know they dont exist to be opened but if thats the case It's not a bad choice. That disabled card feature thing is an ATI halmark, nV usually just does different chips and PCBs.
