You can hack the 4 pipelines and open them, but that's an extra for me, if that doesn't work I'll still be very happy with the card (ONLY IF ITS GAINWARD)

Yea, but the actual difference in preformance isn't that big, and I'm never gonna spend that much on a graphics card!

Im sure down the road there will be plenty of options to upgrade the 6800 to gt speeds and maybe furthur. I have heard from multiple sources that rivatuner is working on a driver that allows you to get 16 piplines for the 6800.
Becuase the 6800 is the basis for a whole new generation of cards, the room for upgrades and improvments is huge. Not to mention the 6800 is the best bang for the buck card right now. I ordered the evga 6800 for 286.00$, this includes three day shipping.

As far as I know they dont exist to be opened but if thats the case It's not a bad choice. That disabled card feature thing is an ATI halmark, nV usually just does different chips and PCBs.

Thats if your lucky. A lot of times, the extra 4 pipes in a 6800 or broken and will display artifacts and tearing once enabled.
