| Dual VGA video card into one monitor
I need some help with this:
I have a dual RAMDAC Nvidia Gforce FX card on a GDM-5402 Sony Trinitron
monitor. I have been thinking of doing something and that's to plug both video
outputs at the same time to the same monitor. Is it possible to do that and if so,
how.
Thank you.

Of course it is... just wire up a plug directly to one of the VGA outputs, and.... |

An odd question ... any reason for doing this? Do you want to be able to switch between different outputs from your graphics card? If this is the case, your best option is probably to get some sort of KVM setup and just use the video part of it. KVMs allow you to plug 2 or more PCs into one set of keyboard, monitor and mouse.
Otherwise ... please give more information as to your setup and the whats and whys.
Regards,
Elad. |

well, from my limited mind it does sound possible, although the benefits would be worthless. The monitor does have dual input? you wont get increased clarity, better framerates, or anything like that.
IMO, spend 100 bucks on a cheap 17" secondary monitor. |
