Xdr-dram..
I remember Elpedia and Sony were talking about licensing this to graphics card manufacturers but how long do you think it is before we see XDR-DRAM in PC GPU's, I imagine its less than a year now, the PS3 will probably be released in about a years time and thats when XDR-DRAM will make its debut in the PS3 so it will probably be around shortly afterwards right?
I cant wait to see a GPU running with XDR-DRAM, 1GB of 6.4GHz XDR-DRAM... just sweet!

Assuming they get XDR to work in 256bit, I have no doubt it could start replacing DDR in vid cards

This is where DDRII is supposed to step in because DDRI has peaked with the JEDEC speced at 400MHz.

AFAIK - JEDEC hasn't made DDR400+ a standard because attaining the marketted speed to run reliably is difficult. Yes, DDRII is 64-bit as well.
Rob posted this today about the XDR memory.
