| Need Urgent Help with Graphics card
I just installed a new PSU successfully to power my new Radeon 9800 pro. Afaik i uninstalled the old drivers took the old card out put the new card in and went to install the drivers...but it didn't get past the windows loading boot screen. It just went black after that. If it is a conflict with the old drivers how can i resolve it? otherwise how can install the new drivers without loading windows.
Thx in advance...this is kind of worrying |

if u didnt get past the windows loading screen, its most lightly due to not enough power.
tell us your PSU specs and your previous PSU & graphicsit would help alot
edit:
ok i just read your previous post
if according to your specs there, 450W should have absoultely no problem despite 9800 pro being a mid-range power-hungry card. (6800GT are high-end power-hungry cards )
check your psu connections and check any abnormalities in your BIOS

tbh i think everythin is fine with the bios, what happened was when i attempted to uninstall the old drivers, i then restarted, and even with the old card in windows XP wouldnt load up. i then put the new card in to see if it would work...being plug and play i thought there wud be no prob...again didn't get past boot screen.
what i'm thinking is i've disabled the thing instead of uninstalling the drivers
if that is the case how could i resolve it? |

Can you get into safe mode, if so, install and run that driver removal utility from there. |

no i couldn't get to safe mode...but theres been an advancement (or should i say a step backwards ) i used last known good config...and windows is now loading...so i can use the tool hav0c suggested to uninstall the drivers properly and then give it a go. |
