Compaq Laptop Display

Severla months ago I acquired an old Compaq Armada laptop (Pentium II), Windows 95.

Recently I have been having problems with the display. It boots up with a gray/white haze over the desktop. I can see the blue background of the display underneath it (around the edges), but the vast majorty of the screen has this gray/white haze covering it. This makes it quite impossible to actually do anything.

I hooked it up to my desktop monitor and it displayed just fine, so I know it is something internally with the laptop.

Any advice on how to fix? Can it be fixed? Will upgrading to a more recent version of Windows help?

Thanks

i think this may be the screen going bad (gone bad)... Not sure it is fixable perhaps it could be replaced if you could find a new screen and had the skills to replace it.

But then i am only guessing..

Someone with more knowledge will be along shortly..

Btw

A few days after I posted this, my laptopt monitor started working again. Just fine. No issues.

It worked well for a little over a week and now the same thing is happening.

Could it be I have a loose wire, or cord or something?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
