Replacing Ti4400 with FX5600
i just took out my GF4 Ti4400 and put in a GF FX5600 and windows wouldnt boot... thye screen just went black. I went to the safe mode screen tried the Enable VGA and other stuff.. nothing. Im not going to format just to replace a dam vid card. Any suggestions? Im using the newest NV drivers.

what about safe mode? got another machine to test the new card in?

Put your old card back in , and then remove its driver.
shut down, reinstall the new card and install it's driver.

hmm... its the same driver though. both are nvidia cards. i took the card out of my bros PC and in safe mode the comp just restarted again.

They both use Nvidia drivers in general, but not the exact same driver.
