| HDTV - best card to connect pc to hdtv via component cable
Man,...these cards business is tough...
buiding a pc should be easier ..\
anyway..i want to get best possible display on my hdtv using component cables...
which card would fit tthe bill....
or should I buy ati card with ati vga to componet adapter..
or maybe a vivo card....
poof...ma head's spinning  |

The ATI 9800 AIW comes with a RGB connector for HDTV. You you can just buy the connector but I not sure about what graphics cards it works with.
ATI is or has come out with an HDTV card, too. |

...but RGB connector won't work with component RCA cables mate...
Isn't there a decent graphic card (affordable  ) out there with rca Component males on other end...
OR....how abt VIVO....if u r getting component wires through vivo port ... how's the quality...heh  |

If your using an HDTV you don't want to use RCA cables, you want to use RGB, not Red yellow white RCA.

hmmm...interesting..
my hdtv has component in, s-video in and AV in...
there's no DVI in...but that wouldn't have worked anyway ...
and this RGB.....i have no idea about that..
my HDTV is samsung 47' |

my HDTV has this connector for hdtv signal
(Y,Pb, Pr) 2 1080i/480p/480i
And I just need the best video quality from my PC on this HDTV as I intend to use it instead of a monitor...
I need a graphic card to go with the picture. |

Y,Pb, Pr is another name for RGB (which stands for Red, Green, Blue). The link below is for ATI's adapter. ATI says that it will work with the 8500 on up. I would think, but don't know, that it would work with any card that has a DVI-I interface. http://www.ati.com/products/hdtvadapter/index.html |

Thankyou my friend for the ATI link.
btw....RGB is NOT same thing as Y,Pb, Pr.....
RGB connector had 5 rca connectors H+V..... 
but any opinions abt graphic cards with VIVO....they have component output through vivo out......does anybody know abt their performance and graphic quality.,... |
