Radeon 9600Pro vs Geforce FX5600Ultra

which ones better? im thinkin of buying one of those two for gaming
i think radeon seems much more cheaper
geforce has too many manufacturers that differ from each other
gimme some opinions
i personally think radeon is better

Yeah, read the sticky. It's got some REALLY good info.

That being said... DON'T TOUCH THE 5600! I have one in my wife's computer, and am appauled by the performance. In that category, go with ATI.

From a gaming standpoint, you would be best served with the Radeon 9600 Pro.

GeForce 5600 Ultra
11.2 GB / sec bandwidth
1400 million pixel / sec
1400 million texel / sec
88 million vertex / sec

Radeon 9600 Pro
9.60 GB / sec bandwidth
1600 million pixel / sec
1600 million texel / sec
200 million vertex / sec

The Radeon 9600 Pro offers slightly less bandwidth, but the available throughput is more than capable of sustaining a 1600MT/s fillrate. The Radeon 9600 Pro is the decisive winner in regards to fillrate, transition, lighting, and shading.
