pretty sure thats an sis chipset mobo.

in which case you might need the sis agp driver here

scroll to the bottom of the page for the sis drivers.



just wondering which grafix card you had before the 6800?....was it an agp card?

it worked then?

your card shows as agpx8 and agp texture acceleration is enabled?

i have downloaded it, but being the complete dummy i am can't figure out how to actually install it. am i installing it to some special directory? i extracted it and many files show up but i click setup and nothing happens. sorry i really need to learn more about these things. but thanks for your help.

if you have winrar installed

you right click on the downloaded file, then click "open with winrar"

then double click the "SETUP.EXE" file.

if you don't have winrar installed.............

when you double click the downloaded file.......take a note of where the files are extracted to............then go to that folder..and doulbe click the setup file..........in this case it will look like a pc....and will be called a setup launcher...........

i've tried, but the setup launcher dosent seem to want to work, ill try restarting my pc but dont think that'll help. when i double click on it, it just does nothing. :-(

ahhh yes, restarting seems to of helped, i have now installed the drivers and my card is now agp x8. thanks a lot doddsy you've helped me so much, cheers. and thanks again. your help is greatly apperciated.
