Teach me about LCDs

I'm planning on buying myself a couple LCDs for a graduation present at the end of the first quarter of 2005.

Obviously, I want the best I can get at the best price. I'm thinking that the price break between reasonable and excessive will be in the 19" range, though I would love nothing more than to be running dual 20 or 20.1" LCDs. I'm thinking that I can do dual 19's for $1k to $1200, while the 20's would be in the $1600-2000 range.

So.... what do I do with my PC? 60% internet browsing, 35% work (AS400 client access and VS.Net), 5% gaming.

I'm particularly worried about the gaming aspect. I admit that I'm not one to buy the latest and greatest graphics intense game.... but every so often, I will. Currently, my gaming is relativly low intensity games like CS and GTAVC... who knows what it'll be in 6 months.

So, given that I'll be buying a decent dual head video card, what specs should I look for on my LCDs to give me the least ghosting and good response time for games? Any particular brands I should look for?

12ms Dell 2005FPW 20.1" Widescreen LCD Monitor $649
http://resellerratings.com/deals3713.html

This would be a very good monitor for all aplications but the deal ends today....

Things to look for in genneral are low numbered response times. 16ms should be the bare minimum.
High resolution. At least 1024x1200. High Contrast. At least 450:1.
