But with 250watt PSU ummm....... ur pushing it with anything decent. I might be able to run 9600pro. But i wouldnt try. I guess like a 9200 and or 5200 or maybe 9500 or a 5500.

My need is middle of the road. I am a remote control pilot and my 3D flying sim. program requires a better video card then the Savage built in. I have no problem putting in the killer gamer card if it will run, plug and play. I am not a PC savy person so the install should be simple. I have installed other PCI type cards before. I have read that power could be an issue too, or the lack of it...Thanks for the help guys.... Jack

If u want the best for lest i cant recommend the 6600gt any more. for 200bucks it can run any game and any application lightning fast.

Way too much power draw for that measly PSU. ATi 9600XT at 25 watts max power draw would be the best I'd dare.

get a new psu, its really gonna strain your psu to put in a better gfx. PSU will die a lot faster if they are running a full load.
My other car is a T-34.

Coolguy, I only have 4x AGP slot available. PCI express might not work for me? Any input on a new PSU (micro ATX) video card package??

Thats only 64bit. And that card will not run that program all that well. At least a 9500 with 128bit configuration.

Ok, ATI returned my email late today with which card would be the best for my mobo and plug and play ease of installation. The told me a ATI 9600XT. So I ran down to the store and picked one up. Pluged that baby in and nuttin..... updated the chipset and nuttin yet but all that beeping stopped. If the card is in I get black screen, card out everything boots up. I guess its time to pay the piper..........
