x800 PRO coolin system
my x800 PRO is currently getting too hot, i have 0 case fans which i am going to invest in however i am also consdiering in purchesing a graphics card fan looking at the reviews its a darn good fan, it takes up 1 extra pci slot buts thats not actualy a problem for me.
Now, i recived this card as a present and am slightly confused, i think i know but i would just like clarification if poss
here is the link to the fan i am going to purchese http://www.pcwcomponentcentre.co.uk/invt/cooacati4
(Arctic Cooling VGA Card Cooler ATI Silencer 4 R420 VGA Card Cooler)
the x800 pro already has a fan and heatsink on the front, does this new fan get placed on the back of the card or do i have to take the enitire fan off and place the new fan instead. In other words, will i end up only having one fan or will i ahve 2 fans on the card.
personally its confuzing stuff.... i would hate to have to take the enitre retail fan off just to place a new fan on ( I would probably end up damaging the card)
if some one could do a quick post. it would mean allot, cheers .

I would say you should invest in a couple case fans. At least one intake and one exhaust and if you feel you still need better cooling, then go ahead with the arctic cooler. Most of the time, the stock heatsinks do a good job of keeping the card cool and there is no reason to change it unless your considering overclocking or the stock fan is too loud.
Yes, you will need to remove the stock heatsink and the arctic cooller will be taking its place.
Hope this helps.

depending on your case size, add 2 or 3-4 case fans and see how the card performs. I bet it will solve your heating problem. Unless you will be doing heavy OC'ing there is no real reason to change the HSF.
Good job, friend-of-friends!
