not intel as they offer limited overclocking options which youl need in the future to give your system a little more hope once everyone else has 128 bit proccessors and 4.5 ghz systems

I just got an Intel 3.0E with the MSI 6600GT.
Sitting next to that one is my older AMD 2500+ overclocked to 3200 with an ATI 9800PRO. Both have 1 gig ram.

So far the game Battlefield Vietnam runs much nicer on the 6600GT. Whether it is the video card or the cpu or both, not sure, but my bet is on the video card.

I deliberately bought the opposite of what I already had to be able to do real comparisons.

the only bad thing is that ibuypower doesn't have the 6600GT as an option yet, I would go with the 6800GT which is only 365

Except that they do not use any custom parts like Dell, Alienware, etc, meaning that you can upgrade whatever you want, and buy the parts whereever you want
