AMD computers are great, and if your a gamer then I would say AMD all the way and even if your not a hardcore gamer AMD is still great, all around I have been more satisfied with AMD. I would not say intel pentium 4 is bad though, it suits some pretty well. They both have advantages (which I wont get into, more or less its just things I've picked up here and there and I'm no expert on the comparison. I just know a better proforming PC when I see..use one) but overall AMD IMO is the best

I gotta say that AMD XP sucks, I have used 2 of them and none of them came even close in overall preformance (multitasking) to my A64 3000+. I have nothing agains Intel, I would gladly pick one up if the price was right, but since it's not I always go with AMD. |

My new pc with the Intel 3.0E on an Asus P4P800SE keeps locking up while playing games and once even just by opening the web browser. Seems to me it's overheating. It sure warms up the room a heck of a lot. Need to keep the door open and even had thoughts of opening the window although it was -14C outside.
So I put my 6600Gt that was with my 3.0E and Asus P4P800 SE and put it into my AMD 2500+ overclocked to 3200 and my BFV game runs better at same settings wiithout the computer overheating and locking up on me.
The 6600GT graphics and fps is also better than on the 9800pro while playing BFV running on the same AMD 2500+.
Conclusion; AMD 2500+ on a Solteck board beats the Intel 3.0E on an Asus board in real life side by side comparison.
Guess what is going back to the store tomorrow. Even thought the AMD 64 3200 is more expensive than the 3.0E I will be picking one up tomorrow.
