the 6600gt isn't faster
it's slower, just not by 90 bucks worth
where are you getting your info?

Actually, the 6600GT apparentally beatas the 6800 in some benchmarks at lower resolutions.
But the 6800 pulls ahead when the resolution and AA and AF are raised.
The performance difference is definately NOT worth $90 though. |

Whether it's worth the $90.00 or not is a matter of opinion. What you should ask yourself is..what type of games do you play and what resolution do you play them at? If it's possible to mod the 6800 and enable the extra pipelines (assuming 1 of the 4 isn't bad) You might consider doing that. However, it's a matter of what you're going to play. |

The only people that spend the 90 are the ones who have to have the best. |

my friend told me he had gotten a 6800oc for christmas and it was 300 bucks.. i looked it up and it was 350 core clock and 750 memory... The 6600gt is 500 core and 1000mhz memory for $219 on newegg
so why is the 6800oc more $$bling$$? |

6800GT is 350mhz core and 1000mhz memory, how is that better than the 6600GT which is 500mhz core and 1000mhz memory, for MUCH cheaper? |
