doesn't the hardware have to have the capacity for a flash? Like flashing a SE to a PRO.

I've never flashed a vid card cause its not worth the risk to me. If the flash goes wrong and the card can't display an image correctly or not at all then what? .......
It's legal but you void warranty and yes, some cards can not be flashed with a DIY method.

you have to have the right card to upgrade from se to a pro. and alot of times when you do it the chances of getting artifacts are high. |

I flashed my 9800 Pro 256 to an XT, but I didn't get very good results. I know it has the correct memory (Hynix, i believe).
I had to bring down the speed with RadLinker to keep games from fragmenting. It's an Asus model which has better fans and heatsink. I also applied AS5. Should I get a VGA cooler?

where some cards will be able to be flashed, like I got a 9500np and used software drivers to open the other pipelines and now runs to 9700 speeds... But it doesnt perform fully like a 9700 i got scores a bit higher than 9600 but not close to 9700 |
