GeForce 4 MX and Medal Of Honor
Medal Of Honor does not support GeForce 4 MX and i keep getting the screen that tells me that my video card is not Direct X 8.1 compatable!!!!!
I know it can be played with this card somehow. Anyone knows?!
Any suggestions?

Medal of honor is an old game, i remembered playing this game on a GeForce MX 440 plays fine.

I also played it on a GeForce 4 MX 440 and it worked perfectly fine. Try installing (or reinstalling) video card drivers from http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html. 43.45 will do.

I'll try that, I contacted EA Games and they told me there is no way it can be played with that card. I hope I can prove them wrong. Another game is (war craft3), Everytime i start it it requests a frequency refresh rate of 99 and my monitors max is 85. is there anything I can do about this cause my power management tool keeps coming when I try launching it.

If its Pacific Assult MOH then its probably not compatable, im pretty sure the new MOH PA needs shaders.

Sorry iv taken so long to respond.
Newer cards have whats called hardware Pixel and vertex shaders. To put it simply there like mini CPU's on the graphics card which can be programmed to produce real time special FX on the screen, eg, reflective water, real looking shadows, ... Some modern games are making these programmable shaders a requirement.
Its dodgy becuase A GF4 MX does not have any hardware shaders while the real GF4 Ti series has v1.3 pixel shaders and can run the game.
As for the warcraft useing to high a refresh, Nvidia has a refresh override tool in there drivers controll panel. Right click desktop, go properties, settings tab, advanced, geforce tab, then on the left there'll be a refresh rate override item.
Hope some of this has helped.

a gf4 mx440 plays MOH: allied assault and WC3 just fine.
there is no reason you should need a 99hz refresh rate to play WC3 or any game, something else must be wrong.
as people have suggested, try reinstalling the drivers and directx9
power management tool.. that's kind of random. you aren't by any chance talking about a laptop?Athlon 64 x2 3800+/2gb/asrock 939dual-sata2/gf6200/audigy2 zs plat/sonata + Asus V6J + Lenovo Ideapad U330

No no, it's just a tool that shuts up your screen before it's damaged by the high VH refresh rate. anyway, I reinstalled my vga driver and it works fine now. I guess something went nuts. I hate this GeForce 4 MX, it sux....what do you guys recomment for an AGP card that's within reasonable budjet and is worth buying when you already have the MX 128mb card.
