| Monitor adjusts its own gamma?
I got up this morning and turned on my monitor to notice everything was a little whiter than it should be. I checked my OSD and there is no option for Gamma, and I tried adjusting the brightness but it helped none.
I switched the color temps to 6500 and back to 9300 and I think it helped a bit... but a few minutes later I was browsing the web and bam - I watched it change itself.
Is the monitor going bad or what could be the culprit? |

I fiddled with it a bit more but not sure if helped the situation. What would be the cause of it doing this? |

No i'm using an AOC monitor. Using the nvidia software to correct the gamma does nothing....unless I take it ALL the way down.
And I don't want to open the monitor in case I do mess it up. |

How old is the monitor?
Is it under warranty?
If not, did you actually see it change from ok into not-ok? If you change the brightness in osd, does it affect actual brightness?
What make and model is the monitor? |

Your power cord/vga cord is connected loosely. |

The cords are tight on both ends.
It's an older monitor - an AOC Spectrum 7GLR. No warranty left. I noticed something funny - i'm playing an MMORPG, and after I alt+tab out for a while it does it. If I go back in the game, and alt+tab it fixes itself for a while...
Weird... |
