    9800se 128bit = 9800 128bit?

Is a 9800se 128 bit on par with a 9800 regular 128 bit? I have a freind that is wanting to upgrade from a gf4 mx420 and he can get ahold of a 9800 128 bit for 105 dollars from someone local.

I am thinking that they are essentially the same card under different names but would like some confirmation and would really like a benchmark with the 9800 128 bit even more.

    Thanks,
    Fourthbean

Ok, I made the decision and told him that he could get a 9600xt for about the same price that would perform a little better. But that it would be refurbished from newegg and he would be taking a risk and might have to have it exchanged.

I think a 128 bit vanilla 9800 might be a little faster than the 9600xt, but I'm not sure because I haven't seen any benchies on it, it would only be worth getting the 9800 if it was up to $10 more than the 9600xt

a regular 9800 128-bit is much better than a 9600XT, the 128-bit 9800se is about equal, the 256-bit se is quite a bit better than a 9600xt as well
    Hey who turned sigs on?
