Need Help installing new Video Card

Forgive my ignorance, but it has been a while since I have done this. I ordered a Radeon 7000 video card for my kids' computer. I bought the oem version and it didn't have installation instructions in the box. Could somone please give me a quick walkthrough starting with removing the old card and drivers and installing the new card. I want to do this in the right order so I don't have to waste all day on trial and error. The computer is ruuning Win98SE and the old card is an 8mb diamond viper 770.

Is the Radeon 7000 a surprise for your kid?

They don't know I am doing it, so I guess it is a suprise. I am just trying to make sure it runs their games. They don't need much, They are ages 2 and 5.

what games are they playing (Sesame Street)? how much did the card cost.

Step 1. Go to ati.com and download the appropriate drivers for your card and operating system.
2. Go into control panel and double-click on the add/remove programs applet and uninstall your current graphics card drivers.
3. shut your computer off.
4. take the old card out of it's slot holding it only by the edges to avoid esd.
5. put the new card in.
6. start the computer. windows will detect new hardware and a dialog box will open. cancel out of that dialog box.
7. double-click on the drivers you downloaded from ati.com to start the installation and follow the instructions.
