PSU is the first thing I can think of. Can you describe the errors as well as post what PSU you have (detailed specs or a link).

ya the only things i can think of are: psu, driver/bios incompatibility, and maybe overheating if your case has like only 1 fan ( but i have my 6600gt oc'd to 560/1.13 and it's 55 degrees under full load with stock cooling) good luck
if you get it working you won't regret buying it

- Faulty card
- Low power supply
- Didn't put the Power lead into the card
- update drivers for gfx and motherboard
- overheating
Thats all I can think off the top of my head. Must be faulty.

the psu is brand new though?
so would it have to be the card is faulty? cause i put an xfx 5200 and it ran my gamesIntel Core 2 Duo 6300, 2 GB XMS Corsair RAM, GTX290 XFX (nasty card), 160GB SATA 3 WDD HD, GIGABYTE 6-QUAD Series MOBO, Tsunami Dream case.

April 2nd, 2005, 01:28 PM #11nope, it could still be the PSU as it could be too cheap and not providing enough good power to run the 6600GT.

April 3rd, 2005, 12:17 AM #156600GT needs a REALLY stable 12v rail line. When it goes even little unstable it will crash. So u never know. Just try unplugging those fans and running the game.

okay i put it on a really stable 12v rail it was the only thing plugged into it and it lasted a lot longer but the game still ended up doing its little call of duty has encountered a problem and needs to close...so if it lasted that long with what i did what could it be?

Faulty card, more than likely. Perhaps you should get a different brand altogether, MSI has a good one. That's the one I plan to get.
Or, perhaps it is heat, considering you unplugged all the fans.
