got a new powersupply 450 watt.last nite my mother board plus psu got burned like hell(u see those bottle looking things on the motherboard picture 13 of them got fried when i connect the 450 psu)
bought a new motherboard (a super cheap one) 50 dollar cad.its a better then last motherboard though.
the monitor is GATEWAY EV700.
i have another monitor thats ACER AC 711.

well... i dunno what kind of monitor that is... is it 15" 17" 19"?
Btw.. what kind of power supply was that? dont tell me it was a cheap kind...u can sue the company for blowing ur computer out. Unless u forgot the turn the power up before plugging in

17".about the power supply what happend was it works the first time i start my pc then i close the pc and add the 512mb ram on the motherboard and then turn the power on and before even starting the pc boom all gone.

oh boy....when adding the RAM, did u unplug the power suplpy? What kind of powersupply was it? Dont tell me it was some cheap psu with no short circuit protection.... |

btw...ur monitor does not qualify to go above 1280x1024. I dont think the monitor can even do 1280x1024 @ 85Mhz. U need a more powerful and better quality monitor to do 1600x1200. Like Grade A 19" monitor. |

oh...bad power supply .....Never pay cheap with powersupply....it can blow ur whole system out....you shoulda just baught a quality 420W PSU for around 70CAD |
