Is the MSI Geforce FX5500 256MB anygood. I'm thinking about a new purchase. |

naw, not worth it.I would direct you more to the 9600pro/XT line though..just get 128mb...all you need.

ya it depends on if its for gaming, basic stuff (m$ word) it will run games alright but if you want it for gaming go with 6600gt |

okay ppl, he is wanting to spend the equivilant of a 5500....so a 6600Gt is a tad far-fetched.
okay what we need to know is your budget and what you will be doing with the card (gaming, graphics..) |

6000 gt and 6800 gt or ultra cards are mainly for graphics designers and gamers. |

we don't even know what his budget is, or what hes gonna do with the card. he might only need a MX4000, who knows? |

Well hes right inbetween, gaming and basics. ID suggest if ur just a light gamer get a 9600pro. About the same price, and its a great card. Much better than the 5500, which is basically a 5200 for more money,

Its kinda stupid that 5500 is ripping people who dont know about Gfx card that much lol. Same performance but added 128VGA ram so that people think its faster lol
