ATI Radeon 9250 helppp!

Hey I was wondering if you could help me out. I have an E-machines, with an Intel Celeron Processor, 2.6 GHz, with Intel Extreme Graphics (woopie). I really don't have a lot of money and I am playing "Guild Wars". I was going to get an ATI Radeon 9250 , 256 mb, 8x Agp. Is that a good card to play guild wars on? Is it an alright card where I can get buy without AWESOME graphics, but just alright and i can play games without having lag (in guild wars, i'll click somewhere and it will take a few seconds to move). Please help me out!

well if your going to get that card i would also strongly recommend that you get at least 512mb of ram( that will be a huge performance increase, but that card should be alright...that or a fx 5200 should be fine

oh and welcome to techimo

edit: thought it said 256mb as system mem

From what I has seen others post the 9250 won't be much of an improvement over your onboard - that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but not much.
I have seen many recommend the 9550 - not the SE model - with 128-BIT memory interface and 128MB or 256MB of DDR ram. The 256MB really won't provide a performance increase and the 128MB is usually a few bucks cheaper.
Here is a $68 example from newegg...

and...
WELCOME to TECHIMO!

the FX5200 should be better as it supports DX9 as the 9200 series doesn't....

yea i meant 256 mb. card. but yea, i'm not into having the best graphics you can get. i just need a card that will make guild wars for example, run smoothly with no like frame skipping (i dunno what its called, maybe lag) where it jumps around and it is slow. i just wanna be able to click, and the guy goes. thanks for your help guys.
