upgrading to diff gfx card

yup i can play hl2 all settings maxed out and doom 3 on high....just make sure 1) your mobo has pci-e( you would be suprised how many people accidently order the wrong one ) 2)the rest of your system is decent

k thanks for the link jlk03f150..mateo how would i know if my mobo has pci-e lol im a noob learning

edit - i know i have 5 pci slots and 1 agp slot thats all i know

well if you have an agp slot then you don't have a pci-e slot, so get the agp card
we all had to learn somewhere

edit:mobos either have pci-e slots or an agp slot for video cards

Yep, that card will work fine in your current mobo

Btw, what are the rest of your system specs, specifically the CPU and RAM? What PSU do you have (a link would be best)? How many Amps does it have on the 12V rail?

well i got a P4 2.4 ghz oc at 2.90 ghz,500 watt power suply,2 gig of ram ,and right now a BFG geforce 5500 fx 256 MB card is this enough

What brand and What Amps are on The +12 V rail of the PSU?
