Ok ive decided to upgrade my Geforce 4 Ti4200!!!
Im thinking of going for a GeforceFX 6600 any recomendations for the model?
Ones im currently looking at are,
MSI NX6600-VTD256 GeForce 256MB (£99)
MSI NX6600GT-VTD128 GeForce 6600GT (£150)
Ive heard the GT cards are better but the 256mb card is only £99 and has twice the memory, any suggestions? |

The GT is better. Just because the vanilla 6600 has more ram, it doens't mean it is better. This goes for any card.
The main thing here is which core. IMO, next would be ram speed/core speed then the amount of ram.
Go with the GT. |

the 256mb is hardly noticable from 128mb ... if you notice at all... this (256mb is better then 128mb) has been going on for quite sometime with the sales of graphics cards... and to 99% of the customers, they see no difference.
between the 6600 and the 6600gt.... go with the GT .... you will notice a big difference between the two...

The 6600 has a clock speed of 300 mhz, whereas the 6600 GT is clocked at 500mhz, so that is almost doubling the speed! |
