Please make this a sticky, it would really help anyone needing to unlock their pipes!

What is the difference between a 6800 and a Vanilla 6800?

I just ordered the Gigabyte 6800 from Newegg.com, can I use this guide for that graphics card?

I'm pretty sure that means your cooling is askew. Try using a house fan and blowing the graphics card and see if that effects the artifacts or not.

On the 6800 he got, the cooler on there is the same cooler as the standard 6800 GT.

EX, try unlocking just the extra pixel shader, or the extra pipes instead of both and see if you can get one or the other to work

I was just going to ask if that would work. I'll try it, and post back tommarow, my dad said that if he sees me on the internet past 11:00 (10:23 here now), he is going to take the modem.

I tried this on my gigabyte 6800 and when I unlocked the extra pipe i got artifacts, but when I unlocked the shader it worked fine.

I think that unlocking all pipes on a refurb 6800le right now is almost impossible... not just because they've been around for so long, but also because it's refurb

Didn't mean to destroy all hope, but that's just my view of things atm..

nope, a 6800GT already has all 16 pipelines and 6vs units, so there's nothing to unlock, if you're looking to boost your performance, I recommend OCing.
