Yea, and it needs to be PCI-E for my mobo. So with that said, would you still say that the 6800 128mb is better than the 6600GT 128mb? |

I just burnt up my last 6600 GT in my other computer. Every brand runs hotter than any card should.
(I had a copper aftermarket cooler on mine. But we had to airconditioning worked on for a few hours. The computer was on with dead air in the house it was off for about 6 hours. Got so hot just burnt her up.) |

'ey nwo, thanks a lot man. You're recommendation of the X800 was awesome. I hadn't really looked into ATI cards. I found an X800 Pro for $225 and I think i'll be gettin' that. Everywhere i look it runs faster than the 6600GT, and it has 256mb onboard. I think i'll be very happy in a couple weeks |

You've made a good choice

the x800pro was originally made to compete with the 6800GT but it never sucessfully did that because it lacked 4 pipelines so it can't keep up with it, but it's a good OCer, and you might take a shot at opening up the pipes, but these days, the chance of sucess have dropped to... I dunno, just guessing.... 30% or less. Now that the x800pro is so cheap, it has no competition!!!
It's the best card for <$250 without a doubt! |

It's the best card for <$250 without a doubt! | actually it's near impossible finding one that can unlock the pipes by softmodding. Only the "early" models with ViVo are able to, otherwise you can try hardmodding, but it's much much harder to do. (and much riskier) Luckily for us, we have an early ViVo edition so we have the 4 unlocked |

Well yeah, that's why I said 30% or less (meant to say 20% but w/e) because there's always a chance you might get one that can still be modded, or get an older model |
