Dual-Monitor Performance

I recently switched over from running one card for each monitor to running both screens on my new 6600GT PCI-E card. How much will this degrade the performance in 3D games? I've noticed for example BF2 should be running better than it is on my system. Should I use a special gaming profile that disables the secondary monitor? Is anyone else familiar with this issue?

BF2 doesn't run as good as it should on anybodys comp.

It will only degrade proformance if you use a higher resolution then what you otherwise would.

i believe it does cause some preformance decrease as you are inputting to two devices than just one, i use Ultramon 2.6 to set up different backgrounds and have a hot key to disable the second monitor when im about to game

Got Ultramon as well...yeah found that disable option now...gonna try that.
