Should I trade my X800 XL for an X800 XT All-In-Wonder?
I paid $300 for my ATI-branded X800XL, and I noticed Newegg has the X800 XT AIW for $320. Should I spend the extra $20 and take my XL back for an XT?

You bought it at a local store, right?
In that case since you can get a full refund, I would definitely take it back and get an x800XT AIW for the extra 20 bucks, definitely worth it since you have so much A/V capabilities as well as more power and great OCing potential

yeah, seriously! bring it back if you can get a full refund. get on it right away though, stores can be rather pinner with used electronics sometimes....

Yeah I got it at Fry's - my friend said "you should buy this!" and so I stuck it on credit....oops. But yes, I can make the trip back and then order the AIW, no sweat.

Or if your in to spending less money the x800XL can be had for ~$250. (or if you hit it at the right time Dell has a 7800GT for $334) Of course it depends on if your talking AGP or PCIe.

Yes I have an AGP board with a 3.06Ghz P4 - not ready to upgrade my power supply yet, so I figured I could get one last refresh out of AGP.

One question - does the X800 XT AIW do radio and radio time shifting? Or is that only in the X800 XL card? Somewhere I read that one of the lesser models can recieve radio but the higher one can't.
If it does - sweet! I'll get the Roady2 XM Home Kit and yank the reciever out of my car so I can record sattelite radio in my room.

I dunno about radio time shifting, all I know is that it has an FM tuner/antenna/input which I've never used

Ok - good. I checked on Pricegrabber and people were talking about an FM tuner, so it's all goooood.
