Yes, the 6600 GT will be better than the x700.
Your system looks fine for BF2...but you will have to keep it at medium settings I would say. |

sorry for posting so many questions but i have just found a PowerColor X800 GT Xtreme 256MB for £107 now this is about the same price as the 6600GT 128mb would the geforce still be better or would the X800 be better?
also would i see a great deal of improvement from the x700 with the x800 GT EX?
Thanks again!

Can I just add while I am here, i have an ECS board for the athlon chip with the dual graphics slots. One warning for you is the AGP is an emulated slot and there is achance that an agp card wil not work on the board. FX5200 do but it isn't very good. So you should be looking at getting the PCI- e card. The PCI - e port on these mobos are fully compliant. |

If you want to go for the x800gto, I'd recommend the Connect 3D version. http://www.savastore.com/productinfo...07&rstrat=3165
It has a great track record for being flashed to a x850xt (with slightly slower memory), something you may want to do down the road when newer games start to make it seem slow. |

Here you go. The article primarily talks about the Sapphire X800GTO2 flash - which can reach X800XT PE speeds - but also mentions the Connect 3D mod. It pretty easy to flash the bios of a video card. I've done several of them over the years. http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/...ng/vidcard/127 |
