best advice, stay away from thermatake, they have a long going reputation for cheap products that dont work well or up to par, from water cooling stuff, to psus, and esp there fans... invest in somthing more trustworthy.

I highly doubt that thing would work any better than a decent air cooler, since thats all it really is just with some water as a heat transfer medium.

a full fledge water cooling kit uses a high wattage radiator or heatercore that can remove alot of heat and a good powerfull pump...

if u havent used any Thermaltake products then dont comment. I right now have a Big Water SE and my CPU runs 22C idle... and 33-35C load @ 2.5ghz

But the TideWater, havent heard too much about it... id rather go for a Arctic Silencer or Zalman HSF... much cheaper

Since when has Thermaltake had a bad rep?
I actually love every TT product I've gotten...
    And thats literally hundreds...
Ive read ALOT of threads reviews etc... and Ive seen litle to no Thermaltake bashing ever...
Where exactly do you get your info?
    As for that cooler...
I personally havent used it or know anyone who has but I do like alot of the heatpipe products Ive used

Don't know how well that thing would work. But both of my Thermaltake cases, 10 case fans, 2 cpu coolers, and 3 psu's have been working fine going on five years now. Oh wait, the one psu is only three years old. So the brand is A'OK.

    EDIT:
After looking it over. I don't really see what, if any, difference that would make over a normal fan. Unless noise is an issue.

Well, if crime fighters fight crime and fire fighters fight fire, what do freedom fighters fight? They never mention that part to us, do they?

Ok...thats just plain harsh, this is probably the first person I've ever heard say that Thermaltake is a bad. I'm dissapointed...anyway, I dont know about the Tidewater. But i shall do some research because I am interested in it too.

Loud, often but never known then to be bad. I have some cheapo Tt 754 cooler on my 1.6 gig 2600+ @ 2.2 and it's at 26C ATM. Couldn't be more pleased for 20 bucks.

I moderate extreme system forums we have lots and lots of complaints there where my info is from. Loud fans after they wear out in less than 3 months, cpu water blocks with horrible flatness to them that you can smooth out better on sandpaper, cheap water cooling parts (like the single 120mm rad water cooling kits that in reviews get beated by regular high end air coolers)

I am not a basher, just a profesional that doenst recomend things with bad reviews.
