Video card help
Three questions: 1 - Is there any maximum amount of memory you can have in a video card? For example, I have a 1.7 GHZ 512mb ram system, and I want to know if there is a certain amount of memory with my video card that my computer cant support. I have already looked in the manual and found nothing on this issue. 2 - If anybody has the ATI 9250 radeon 128mb graphics card, could you tell me if it is a decent card (for a gamer) worth buying. I have been looking everywhere on the net for reviews, but can't find any on this specific card. 3 - Which one is better: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 256mb or ATI 9250 128 mb? Thanks in advance to those computer geniuses who are willing to help!

1. No, you can have as much ram on it as there is on the vid card when you buy it...doesn't matter what your system specs are for that.
2. No, the 9250 is a crappy card for gaming...unless you call playing tetris gaming...if you want to play newer games on medium settings, I would say you need atleast a 6600 GT($100-$150).
3. Both of those cards suck, but the 9250 is better."The problem with quotations on the internet is that the sources are hard to verify" - Abraham Lincoln

If the 6600GT that EX recommends is out of your price range, look for a 9550 (not SE). It can be modded to a 9600pro and will perform fairly well with medium-low settings. The FX5500 & 9250 both will perform very badly at low settings.
