need for speed most wanted

hi hope some one can help me here..i have an xp2700 with an fx6600gt running nicely.. bf 2 with special forces ..no worries..i got up to 69% on most wanted an now the game wont run normal ..its just slow..the noise is ok but the vid is slow..very slow..when i get into game play the sound goes slow as well.all my games work fine except for this one..

Have you changed anything on your system since NFSMW played well? New drivers, video card or any other drivers. Added any new hardware? Maybe played about with Cache?

Sometimes adding something new, even though it should have no effect on a particular game, doesn't mean it always does. My mouse drivers actually gave me issues with a game once. Shouldn't have, but did

If nothing has changed, maybe a full system scan for virus/spyware might be in order.

Possibly a defrag if you have done a lot of installing/uninstalling lately.

sorry i should have told you more..i run avg with zone alarm,and spybot. i think windows updates might have had an update and it might have been for vga. I dont overclock or anything like that my system is clean of any illegal programs ..{ everything is bought} i dont go to porn siites..rah rah ..defrag is done regularly ..like it takes 2 min tops..120g..

i uninstalled the vid driver an reinstalled .no diff
i uninstalled the vid driver and made sure it was the latest version..no diff
i uninstalled the game and reinstalled..no diff
i uninstalled the game and the driver reinstalled the driver then the game ..no diff
i uninstalled the game an driver an reinstalled the game then driver...no diff
uninstalled both then defraged {been defraging after all these attempts} reinstalled driver then game ..now im here..i did the last one because i think the vid driver should go in before the game..

BUT..none of this action has affected bf2, bf2 special forces, or Gun. they still run great. { thank budda- cause id be going mentle otherwise!

Hey everyone. I've got a question that maybe you'll be able to answer.

A while back, I bought Need For Speed Underground 2 for my computer. I already have NFSU, and that works fine. And NFSU2 installed fine, but wouldn't run because I have DAEMON CD emulation software on my computer as well. I just wanna know why DAEMON would keep NFSU2 from running, and if the same thing will happen if I buy NFS: Most Wanted.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

I can answer that because it was what was stopping mine from running. Thanks to your thread my NFSMW now works fine..{ yes..i turned DAEMON off} ..but now it will not work properly when i have the joystick plugged in? go figure-never easy!

So if anyone knows a way for me to be able to play with the joystick please respond..cheers.

K..So as a finale responce to this thread....

NFSMW will not run with daemon tools installed{ unless mabee you have a crack for it..but with Electronic Boutiqe now repacing cd/dvd's that you scratch i find no need to use a crack..} Bit of a shitter having to install/uninstall Damon Tools though..

NFSMW will not work with my firestormThrustmaster plugged in..it did at the start but 64 or so percent through it stopped but my game pad that came free with the game will.. Go Figure!

I purchased this today and when downloading I get the Message: A problem occured when trying to transfer the file 'sound\speech\copspeech.big' from the media. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do??? Thanks

Sorry i never had that error ..all i can suggest is defrag before instalation an try again .If it doesant work then take it back an exchange it ..{sounds like a media problem rather then a computer problem}..

Hello!

My freaking brother picked up Spanish version of Need for Speed most wanted and now I am having hard time changing the speech to ENGLISH.
What I did is that I install DEMO version of Need for Speed Most wanted and just delete the SPEECH files in the Need For Speed Most Wanted inside sound folder and put the demo speech files. However, I am not 100% certain that this is working and it seems to work fine and speech goes in ENGLISH when police chase with the maps even that demo did not have. However, I notice that ENGLISH version copspeech.big file is 135, 580KBs and Spanish version is 146,727KB and the other file is copspeech.idx file in ENGLISH is 56KB and SPANISH version is 62KB.

SO I am glad if someone got ENGLISH version of Need For Speed MOst wanted please check the sizes of copspeech.big and copspeech.idx files and let me know the sizes are correct.

i am not able to install nfs most wanted black edition on my pc as an error is being shown each and every time i tried to install it...the error message is
a problem occured when trying to transfer a file 'sound\speech\copspeech.big from the media.

what should i do?????please help...
