I currently have the first Gen. Visiontek GF3. 200/460. I bought it a few months after they popped onto the seen. What's the next step up in the GeForce line from this card? I'm thinking of selling this one and upgrading to the next step. Suggestions please.
Thanks,
Sweeper |

OMG... You must do serious gaming, because I have a GF256 w/ 32MB RAM (Like 3 years old almost?) that can slice through any game perfectly (at highest quality)

If you want to upgrade (which i see no reason for, coz you have a very nice card) .. then the GF3 Ti500 is your start point with hight core and memory speeds than the older GF3 ... and then you will be in the GF4 line of cards which still expensive ...
And don't consider GF4 MX cards as an upgrade ... your present card would beat them ...

| GeForce4?
I looked at a few GF4's yesterday at the local computer show, but the price was a bit of a deterant for me
There are lots of reviews out there; here's one from this month on a Visiontek Xtasy GeForce 4 |

There's nothing wrong with the card. Actually it's pretty nice. I added a BLORB to it and it will overclock rather nicely. I haven't done any upgrading to my PC in awhile and was curious as to what the next step up would be along the video card line.

GeForce3 Ti 500
Graphics Core: 256-bit

Memory Bandwidth: 8.0GB/Sec
GeForce3
Graphics Core: 256-bit
Memory Interface:128-bit DDR
Fill Rate: 3.2 Billion AA Samples/Sec.

Not much of a gain. 10% at most. |

Nice list. I haven't been keeping track of the latest and greatest lately. Looks like I'm still up there. Kewl. |
