VGA or DVI

I have an x800XT with DVI out and i am using a VGA adapter. My Viewsonic 17" flat screen has both VGA and DVI connectors on it. What are the benefits of switching to DVI?

well dvi is a digital interface, vga analogue. given the choice dvi every time. not sure on the exact technoligies involved in digital pictures but its obviously better picture quality then analogue

DVI is the newer technology.... you should get a better quality picture or something. Why not?

But I'm using VGA The only type of video input my monitor supports, I don't mind.

I'm sure you wont get much of a difference in quality if you switch to DVI...

DVI slightly but noticably sharper, at least on the two LCD monitors I've used.
